Greetings,
We are using Calient OS version B6.0.7. The Quali L1 Calient Driver is rated for 6.0.3 but works fine with our systems. We will soon need to update 4 of these devices with Calient Software version 6.1.3.
What is the way to request that the Quali L1 driver for Calient is updated or recompiled to match the newer release?
Currently running Cloudshell 8.3.0 but may soon update to 9.x verions if that matters at all.
Thanks
Jonathan

I think the best way would be to open a support ticket when these shells are certified by Quali.
We can then involve our shells team, which will probably need some access to a device with the new version to validate it or fix any issue.
The CloudShell version doesn't matter in this case.

Unfotunately we are an offline system in a closed lab! It makes updating and installing new Shells a nice little project for me. But perhaps we can work this backwards? I can run some tests in my lab to verify operation against the switch if support can tell me how to do that at the application layer. I know how to do this at the network layer.
I was planning to install new Calient OS on one switch and test all the normal Quali layer-1 mapping functions. Physically nothing has changed. Soon we will have a legit software developer on site. One of them even used to work for Quali so perhaps he will know how to test it.

No problem, we can probably guide you on some validations to do on a new version.
Make sure that you can downgrade if there are issues (and report them), until we'll be able to get it fixed, otherwise you'll have one less device to use.
Anyway, it will be good to open this ticket and continue from there, you'll then report any issues in that ticket as well.
