George Rainovic suggested an idea (#5415) · Jun 11, 2021 at 12:46 AM · quali serverexecution serverextension
I'd like to create an application that will act on the CloudShell system events relevant to my lab. For example:
- DB connectivity status changes
- Execution server status changes (included/excluded/online/offline)
- User login/logout events
- Reservation created or changed
- L1 switch connection requested/established/failed
- Patch Panel connection created/removed
- Resource added/removed from an active sandbox, etc.
I'd like my application to receive the event info through a standard message broker (e.g. RabbitMQ).
Simply, when an event is recognized (in the Quali service), a new message is sent to the RabbitMQ server and the Quali service code continues execution. My application is subscribed and consumes those messages from the RabbitMQ server.
This RabbitMQ server is provided and managed by the customer, and it is not part of the CS product. for Quali service to submit messages to the queues on the RabbitMQ server, the customer must configure keys in the customer.config file, or in a new config file dedicated to this functionality.

Hi @George Rainovic, I think it is a very interesting idea!
We have started moving to a more modern architecture which is micro-services based, we will consider implemeting your idea in the new architecture, let's wait for the votes on your idea
