Allison Butler suggested an idea (#5320) · Jan 19 at 04:28 PM · automationapireservationscriptsscheduling
When I try to make a reservation for a blueprint that includes a resource that has limited quantities available, I get different behaviors from the portal and the API. The portal gives me a message saying that the requested resources isn't available and then shows me a scheduling screen so I can see when the resource WILL be free so I can make my reservation. The API just returns a message saying the resource isn't available, but doesn't tell me when it will be free.
It would be really useful if the API could return scheduling info so I could programmatically find out when a resource would next be free for reservations

Allison - Thank you for pointing out this disparity. While the API can't provide the rich content of the UI, I think this is something we could improve, like adding next available time to the response. We'll look into this and open it to the community to gauge interest.
