Shane Hawkins suggested an idea (#5289) · Nov 20, 2020 at 08:16 PM · gitazure
We store scripts and files in an Azure DevOps GIT Repository. Currently we cannot directly download configuration script files from that repository. I would like for Cloudshell Pro to support downloading config files from an Azure DevOps GIT Repository.

Hi, thank you for posting this idea. Although we haven't tested it, we think it might be possible to download config files from Azure Git Repository. According to the following comment, you can download a raw file from ADO using basic authentication which is what we support in the custom script feature - https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-devops-docs/issues/6695#issuecomment-568071631

I am not making the connection here. I need this to be as simple as point to the Azure repository when I bring an app into a blueprint, and have it work.

The authentication to ADO is done using OAuth2. Using basic authentication results 401 unauthorized error.
