Kimo Saper suggested an idea (#5194) · Aug 11, 2020 at 04:55 PM · cloudshellshell2nd gen shellserviceadministration
The CloudShell portal is capable of creating categories for Services. However all Gen2 Shells get moved into the 'Customer Services' Category, rendering the services categories useless.
I'm asking for previous functionality, in regard to organizing services into categories, be extended to Gen2 Services Shells.

Any response at all from Quali on this? This was a capability that is still present in the product but is UNADDRESSABLE by Gen2 Service Shells, which are what we are suppose to use.

Hi Kimo,
have you looked at this link in the documentation:
Pascal Joly commented · Sep 16, 2020 at 05:26 PM
as you see in the link above, currently this capability is available through the service shell definition:
"Under node-types:, locate properties:, and add the following lines underneath:
Service Categories:
type: list
default: [My Category 1, My Category 2]"

The improved DevGuide now notes how to do that - Thanks!
