Additional information on the use cases (from original idea):
"Here are my use cases:
1. We need to perform an emergency outage or quick service restart. I understand it doesn't prevent others logging unless we redirect the default page to somewhere else or if you add another feature which will allow someone to put the site in maintenance mode with some custom nice message.
2. We are troubleshooting a performance issue or some other infrastructure issue and like to know how many users currently logged in just during performance impact so that we can have more idea about capacity planning to avoid similar scenario in future. If we are more interested we can even reach user to ask what they were doing or inform them that we are about be restarting.
3. I understand the privacy concern, but for our case this doesn't apply as long as this feature is limited to admins. But you could make this an optional feature where someone could turn it off if needed."
We currently don't keep information about logged-in users viewing the portal, we only keep activities of users like reservations (and some customers actually prefer that we don't keep this information).
It's currently not planned to change this behavior. If you would like to see this change, please vote.
