Yoav Ekshtein suggested an idea (#2281) · Nov 28, 2017 at 03:25 PM · sandbox
in a lot of cases , a glocal input is actually a path to a file. it would be more convient to have an option to have a browse button and insert that path as the value of that global input

Hi @Yoav.E,
When using a browser, the file system you'll see to select files from would be the local one, so letting the user provide a path to "c:\temp\file.csv" will not help much, since the execution servers will not be able to access these files.
Unless selecting files from a shared folder, but that as well might be problematic (if one mapped a shared folder as drive S and the execution server doesn't have such a mapped drive).
There is a similar idea, about being able to actually upload the selected file and then it can be available for the execution servers:

So please add your vote and use cases over there.
